To create your own Chicken Parmesan, follow the steps below:
Ingredients
– 2 chicken breasts
– 1 cup of breadcrumbs
– 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
– 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
– 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
– 2 eggs
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup of red wine
– 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
– 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
– 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil
– Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Begin by slicing the chicken breasts in half horizontally to create thin slices.
3. In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. In a separate shallow bowl, combine the flour and two eggs and whisk until smooth.
5. Dip the chicken slices in the flour mixture, followed by the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated.
6. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium-high heat.
7. Fry the chicken slices until golden brown, approximately 2 minutes per side.
8. Place the fried chicken onto a greased baking tray and top with the mozzarella cheese.
9. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
10. Meanwhile, make the tomato sauce. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
11. Add the red wine, garlic, tomato paste and basil and cook for 5 minutes.
12. Once the sauce is finished, spoon the sauce over the chicken slices and serve.
Crunchy Asian-Inspired Salad with Sweet Dressing
This recipe is the perfect combination of crunchy and sweet. Joanna uses a variety of fresh vegetables, all tossed together with a honey sesame dressing. For a tasty and healthy meal, try making this Asian-inspired salad at home. Here’s what you will need:
Ingredients:
– 2 cups of chopped romaine lettuce
– 1/2 cup of sliced sweet peppers
– 1/2 cup of sliced red onion
– 1/2 cup of sliced cucumber
– 1/2 cup of shredded carrots
– 1/2 cup of cooked edamame beans
– 1/4 cup of toasted sesame seeds
– 1/4 cup of olive oil
– 2 tablespoons of honey
– 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
– 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
– 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, sweet peppers, red onion, cucumber, shredded carrots and edamame beans.
